The Elendu Foundation Library

We had the party, the opening ceremony was grand and stupendous as most of us would expect.

With The Almighty God on our side, Elendu Foundation Library AKA Chief Bernard and Rose Elendu Memorial Library and Education Centre was formerly opened to the public on the 31st Dec 2016.

On the eve of the occasion serenity was the key, the birds were singing. Atmospheric peace consumed my compound at Alayi. I slept like a rock beside a cozy riverside after the final touches for the event.  I perceived the presence of my late Father, Chief B.A Elendu (Omemma 1 of Alayi) a disciplinarian and a Philanthropist in his own little ways and my beautiful Mother Ezinne Rose Elendu, a woman with PhD in Humility as their hearts smiles while at peace with The Lord.

Through a heavenly aperture,  there comes a powerful and extraordinary shower of blessings from The God Almighty Himself to further bless thy children as we prepare to honour our late parents. Hallelujah !!!

Elendu Foundation and the entire people of Alayi honoured them in a especial way by immortalising their names with this iconic building (Bernard and Rose Elendu Memorial Library & Education Centre).

The support for the Royal Family was second to none, with reference to all our guests present  and the financial support from FCMB and friends of goodwill.

The Elendu Foundation on this date commenced the anticipated 10 years scholarship program which will fully sponsor 5 PhD students from Alayi yearly and this will continue on yearly basis in the next 10years by HIS grace. Amen!!!

His Royal Highness Ukeje P, Igboji X of Alayi together with Ndi Eze nile, ndi Ukachukwu, friends of the family, Bende people, and all our special guests in especial way embraced the occasion. We say thanks to you all.

The name:
Chief Bernard and Rose Elendu Memorial Library and Education Centre has been approved by The Abia State Education Management Board and this will be printed with Bronze boldly on the Library building.

God bless. Amen!!!

A motion of support from the ABSU Medical Alumni Association for the 'Elendu Foundation Library

Great Alumni 👍 I would like to move a motion of support from the ABSU Medical Alumni Association for the 'Elendu Foundation Library' AKA Chief Bernard and Rose Elendu Memorial Library and Education Centre, which was formerly opened to the public on the 31st Dec 2016. The proposed support by the Alumni can be in any form, no matter how little or how big! This would be in line with our commitment to support local communities in Nigeria. Book drive is one little way to support the Library.
